An opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy to support an inpatient behavioral health facility in Council Bluffs, IA. This contract assignment begins on May 18 and will continue until a permanent hire is made. The role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, working 6 hours daily.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations within an inpatient behavioral health setting
• Manage medication preparation, repackaging, and ensure compliance with safety and regulatory guidelines
• Maintain and supervise automated drug dispensing systems
• Run restock reports and manage inventory for sufficient medication supplies
• Provide leadership support during the transition period until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Current Iowa pharmacist license required
• Experience with Omnicell automated systems preferred
• Familiarity with medication repackaging using systems such as Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL highly desirable
• Basic knowledge of loading medication into automated machines and generating restock reports
