An immediate opening is available for a Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) role at a behavioral health facility near Grand Rapids, MI. This contractual position provides essential pharmacy leadership and operational oversight to a behavioral health setting with an average daily census of 40 patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Serve as Director of Pharmacy and PIC, ensuring compliance with all regulatory and safety standards.
  • Verify medication orders accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain and manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring medication availability.
  • Oversee pharmacy operations without technician support.
  • Utilize and optimize workflows within the HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation platforms (preferred experience).
  • Coordinate with clinical staff to support behavioral health patient care.

Qualifications:

  • Current Michigan pharmacist license in good standing is required.
  • Experience in behavioral health pharmacy practices is preferred.
  • Familiarity with HCS order entry systems and Omnicell automation highly desirable.
  • Proven ability to manage pharmacy operations independently.

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM on-site.
  • Saturdays, remote coverage from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM.

Location & Facility:

  • Position is based near Byron Center, MI.
  • Close proximity to Gerald Ford International Airport (GRR).
  • Dress code includes purple scrubs on-site.

This contract covers the period from ASAP until the current Director’s final day on May 22, with expected continuation for approximately eight weeks or until the permanent role is filled.
