An opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy leader to provide interim Director of Pharmacy (DOP) and Pharmacist-In-Charge (PIC) coverage at a behavioral health hospital in North Texas. This contract position will begin October 1st with approximately a 13-week duration, overlapping with the outgoing DOP to ensure a smooth transition and maintain operational excellence.

Location:

  • Greenville, TX

Work Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, plus on-call duties
  • Occasional weekend coverage Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee pharmacy operations for a licensed 54-bed behavioral health facility specializing in adult care (18+)
  • Manage a pharmacy team including full-time, part-time, and per diem pharmacists and technicians
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory standards, including preparation for upcoming State Board and Joint Commission visits
  • Lead staffing efforts and maintain seamless pharmacy services until permanent DOP onboarding
  • Collaborate with committees as required by the Director of Pharmacy role
  • Participate in overlap training with outgoing leadership

Qualifications & Desired Experience:

  • Active Texas Pharmacist license required
  • Proven leadership experience as a Pharmacy Director or Pharmacy Manager, preferably in inpatient settings
  • Behavioral health pharmacy experience is highly advantageous
  • Familiarity with hospital order entry systems (HCS) and automation technology (Omnicell) is a plus but not mandatory
  • Ability to work independently while providing strong team support and direction
