Serve as the Director of Pharmacy within a critical access illness recovery hospital dedicated to delivering exceptional inpatient post-ICU care for chronic, critically ill patients. This full-time position in York, PA, offers the opportunity to lead and innovate pharmacy services that directly impact patient recovery and outcomes.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management of the hospital pharmacy in collaboration with the CEO and clinical teams.
  • Prepare drugs and chemicals accurately, ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory standards.
  • Manage and administer the Adverse Drug Reaction Program effectively.
  • Develop and participate in employee training and education initiatives.
  • Engage in quality assurance efforts related to drug utilization and effectiveness.
  • Monitor patient drug therapy while promoting continuous quality improvements.
  • Develop at least one clinically oriented program annually, such as Pharmacokinetic Dosing Service, Patient Counseling, Pain Management Services, or Nutritional Support Service.
  • Provide patient and family education and counseling to support optimal therapy outcomes.

Qualifications:

  • Successful completion of all educational requirements for state licensure.
  • Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years.
  • Current state pharmacy license and BLS certification if required.
  • Preferred: PharmD or BS Pharm with advanced degree or hospital pharmacy residency.
  • Preferred: At least one year in a managerial role with Board Certification and/or residency.
