Serve as the Director of Pharmacy within a critical access illness recovery hospital dedicated to delivering exceptional inpatient post-ICU care for chronic, critically ill patients. This full-time position in York, PA, offers the opportunity to lead and innovate pharmacy services that directly impact patient recovery and outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Lead clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management of the hospital pharmacy in collaboration with the CEO and clinical teams.
- Prepare drugs and chemicals accurately, ensuring compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory standards.
- Manage and administer the Adverse Drug Reaction Program effectively.
- Develop and participate in employee training and education initiatives.
- Engage in quality assurance efforts related to drug utilization and effectiveness.
- Monitor patient drug therapy while promoting continuous quality improvements.
- Develop at least one clinically oriented program annually, such as Pharmacokinetic Dosing Service, Patient Counseling, Pain Management Services, or Nutritional Support Service.
- Provide patient and family education and counseling to support optimal therapy outcomes.
Qualifications:
- Successful completion of all educational requirements for state licensure.
- Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years.
- Current state pharmacy license and BLS certification if required.
- Preferred: PharmD or BS Pharm with advanced degree or hospital pharmacy residency.
- Preferred: At least one year in a managerial role with Board Certification and/or residency.
