An outstanding leadership opportunity is available for an experienced pharmacy professional to serve as Director of Pharmacy at a major regional healthcare system in Florida. This direct hire position offers a competitive base salary of $205,000 to $220,000, complemented by a $10,000 sign-on bonus and eligibility for an annual bonus. The role is based at a 772-bed Level II Trauma Center providing comprehensive acute care services, including specialized trauma, stroke, neonatal, pediatric, cancer, and psychiatric care.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead a pharmacy team of over 100 employees, including six direct reports in key leadership roles such as Assistant Directors, Managers for inpatient, clinical, sterile compounding, and inventory management
  • Oversee 24/7 inpatient pharmacy operations in a Level II Trauma Center environment
  • Collaborate closely with hospital C-suite executives to advance pharmacy services and system-wide care goals
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory and safety standards across all pharmacy functions
  • Drive strategic initiatives and continuous improvement efforts across multiple pharmacy service lines

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Florida Pharmacist License and Florida Consultant Pharmacist License, or ability to obtain both prior to start
  • Minimum three years as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital
  • Minimum three years of acute inpatient hospital pharmacy experience
  • Disclosure and verification of all active and inactive pharmacist licenses must be provided

Preferred Qualifications:

  • PharmD degree strongly preferred
  • Board certification and completion of pharmacy residency are advantages
  • Experience managing large pharmacy teams across diverse service lines
  • Sterile compounding oversight experience
  • Previous exposure to Level I or II Trauma Center settings
