Drive pharmacy operations as Director of Pharmacy at a behavioral health facility in Indianapolis, IN, with a contract opportunity available from March 30 through June 30, 2026—or until a permanent placement is secured. This role demands strong inpatient pharmacy leadership within a fast-paced, specialized environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage pharmacy staffing to ensure optimal coverage and performance
  • Verify and dispense medications, including controlled substances, with accuracy and compliance
  • Oversee the Pyxis automated dispensing system and order entry processes (HCS experience helpful but training provided)
  • Ensure adherence to regulatory standards including Joint Commission, CMS, and state pharmacy board requirements
  • Provide on-call coverage as needed during evenings and weekends
  • Collaborate with administrative teams and outgoing leadership for seamless transition and ongoing support

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Current Indiana pharmacist licensure in good standing is mandatory
  • Proven inpatient pharmacy and leadership experience
  • Comfortable navigating medication order systems and pharmacy automation
  • Ability to work independently in an environment without pharmacy technician support
  • Behavioral health pharmacy experience is highly preferred
  • Local candidates favored; travel expense reimbursement available if relocating

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, plus on-call duties
  • Weekend on-call coverage as required
