An opportunity is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy to oversee operations at a 25-bed critical access hospital with an 18-bed skilled nursing facility in Irvington, KY. This contract position offers a Monday-to-Friday schedule, 7:00 am to 3:30 pm, with a start date as soon as possible. The initial assignment lasts 13 weeks or longer, with potential to transition to a permanent role.
Key responsibilities include managing order verifications, collaborating closely with physicians and nurses, and ensuring seamless pharmacy services within the hospital and nursing facility settings. The candidate will utilize systems such as Cerner and MedDispense for daily operations.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Active Kentucky pharmacist license
- Demonstrated hospital pharmacy management experience
- Strong communication skills for interdisciplinary consulting
- Proficient with Cerner and MedDispense technologies
