Director of Pharmacy - La Mesa, California

An interim leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Director of Pharmacy to oversee pharmacy operations in a specialized 70-bed Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital. This role offers a chance to serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) and ensure comprehensive management and compliance within the pharmacy department.

Location:

• Based in Southern California

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shifts

Responsibilities:

• Provide leadership and oversight of all pharmacy operations
• Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring regulatory compliance and quality control
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize pharmaceutical care
• Utilize RX Connect for management of pharmacy systems and workflow

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active California pharmacist license required
• Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy within California healthcare settings
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws and regulations applicable to hospital settings
• Ability to lead interdisciplinary teams and manage pharmacy staff effectively

Contract Details:

• Immediate start preferred
• Contract duration of 13 weeks with potential for temp-to-hire arrangement
