Director of Pharmacy in Lakeview, OR

An opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Director of Pharmacy to serve in a critical access hospital setting with a 25-bed capacity and an average daily census of 10 beds. This contract role offers a 13-week duration with the potential for direct hire, working as both the Director of Pharmacy and a staff pharmacist in a hands-on capacity.

Location: Lakeview, OR
Type: Contract (13 weeks) with potential for direct hire
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call duties

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the pharmacy operations in a critical access hospital environment
• Perform inpatient pharmacy duties as the working Director of Pharmacy
• Oversee and staff the pharmacy ensuring efficient daily operations
• Conduct sterile compounding as necessary
• Verify and check IV preparations compounded by pharmacy technicians
• Manage a pharmacy support team that includes 2 technicians on site daily

Systems and Environment:

• Order entry via Cerner system
• Automation supported by Omnicell technology

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Oregon pharmacy license
• Proven experience in inpatient pharmacy settings
• Demonstrated pharmacy management experience
• Proficiency in sterile compounding techniques
