This opportunity is for a Director of Pharmacy plus Pharmacist-in-Charge at a community hospital in Ohio. The ideal candidate brings solid inpatient pharmacy experience along with specialized knowledge in IV preparation and 340B program management. This position requires an active Ohio pharmacist license.

Location: Logan, Ohio
Type: Contract position starting 3/16/26 until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is hired (current DOP ends 3/27)
Hours:

  • Monday–Friday: 7:30 am – 6:00 pm
  • Saturday: 8:00 am – 4:30 pm
  • Current site Director works 4-10 hour shifts plus on-call during pharmacy closures (typically 1-2 calls weekly)
  • Weekend coverage begins 3/28, with every 4th weekend rotation on call from Friday 6 pm to Monday 7:30 am

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Ohio pharmacist license required
  • Inpatient pharmacy experience with competency in IV admixture
  • Knowledge of 340B program
  • Experience with or willingness to learn EPIC order entry system and Pyxis automation
  • Ability to manage staffing, scheduling, meetings, and narcotic ordering
  • Experience with sterile compounding
  • Leadership and training skills

Responsibilities:

  • Oversight and leadership of pharmacy operations including one full-time pharmacist and two PRN pharmacists
  • Manage pharmacy schedules and staffing needs
  • Conduct meetings and training sessions
  • Oversee ordering and controlled substance management
  • Collaborate with clinical areas such as Emergency Department, Infusion, and Orthopedics
  • Maintain pharmacy compliance post-recent DNV accreditation
