An acute care healthcare organization in Central California seeks a seasoned Interim Director of Pharmacy to lead and manage pharmacy operations across multiple inpatient hospital campuses during a transitional period. This role demands a confident leader capable of swiftly assessing priorities, steering ongoing strategic projects to completion, and inspiring pharmacy teams toward excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily inpatient pharmacy operations across multi-campus settings
  • Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy personnel to maintain high performance and morale
  • Ensure full compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Oversee departmental budgeting and effective resource allocation
  • Drive and complete key operational and strategic initiatives in progress
  • Collaborate with executive and clinical leadership to align pharmacy operations with organizational goals

Qualifications:

  • Proven Director of Pharmacy experience in an acute care hospital environment
  • Strong expertise in hospital pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards
  • Demonstrated success leading teams through organizational change and operational improvements
  • Ability to rapidly build credibility and deliver impactful results in an interim leadership role
  • Familiarity with major hospital EHR and pharmacy information systems preferred

Assignment Details:

  • Interim engagement expected to last approximately 3–6 months
  • Flexible start date, with preference for an earlier onboarding
