A healthcare organization in Central California is seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership and operational oversight for a multi-campus inpatient pharmacy department during a transitional period. This role is based in an acute care hospital setting and offers an opportunity to make a significant impact by ensuring smooth pharmacy operations across multiple locations.

Responsibilities:

  • Direct daily inpatient pharmacy operations across multiple hospital campuses
  • Lead, mentor, and support pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Ensure strict compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards
  • Oversee departmental budgeting and effective resource allocation
  • Drive and advance key operational and strategic initiatives already underway
  • Collaborate closely with executive and clinical leadership to align pharmacy goals with organizational objectives

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Director of Pharmacy in an acute care hospital environment
  • Strong expertise in hospital pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and accreditation requirements
  • Demonstrated leadership skills managing teams through organizational changes and operational projects
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility and deliver results in an interim leadership role
  • Familiarity with major hospital EHR and pharmacy systems is highly preferred

Assignment Details:

  • Interim engagement lasting approximately 3 to 6 months
  • Flexible start date, with preference for an earlier start
