Director of Pharmacy in Los Angeles, CA

An established healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy to lead and manage a multi-campus inpatient pharmacy department during a critical transitional period. This contract position is based in Central California and involves oversight within an acute care, inpatient hospital setting.

The ideal candidate will provide strong leadership, driving daily pharmacy operations and supporting pharmacy personnel across multiple hospital locations. This role requires a strategic thinker who can ensure regulatory compliance, oversee budgeting, and advance key operational initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Direct day-to-day inpatient pharmacy operations across multiple campuses
• Lead and support pharmacy staff, fostering a collaborative and efficient work environment
• Ensure adherence to regulatory and accreditation standards for hospital pharmacy services
• Manage departmental budgeting and optimize resource allocation
• Drive progress on existing operational and strategic projects
• Collaborate with executive and clinical leadership to align pharmacy services with organizational goals

Qualifications:

• Proven leadership experience as a Director of Pharmacy in an acute care hospital setting
• In-depth knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, compliance, and regulatory requirements
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams through organizational changes and operational improvements
• Capacity to quickly establish credibility and deliver results in an interim leadership role
• Experience with major hospital EHR and pharmacy information systems preferred

Assignment Details:

• Contract duration approximately 3 to 6 months
