Director of Pharmacy - Lufkin, Texas

This is an opportunity for an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy with a current Texas Pharmacy license to provide leadership in an inpatient acute care setting. The role requires strong management skills and the ability to serve as the pharmacist-in-charge (PIC) while overseeing pharmacy operations to ensure regulatory compliance and high-quality patient care.

Location: Nacogdoches, TX
Position Type: Contract (starting August 3rd, approximately 3+ months)
Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shift, 40 hours per week
• No weekend or on-call requirements

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide administrative leadership as the Director of Pharmacy
• Manage staffing and daily pharmacy operations
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and quality care delivery
• Coordinate and conduct pharmacy inservices to support staff development
• Oversee operational integration of Cerner/Siemens order entry systems and Omnicell automation
• Collaborate with a pharmacy team consisting of 1 Clinical Pharmacist, 4 PRN Pharmacists, 5 full-time and 3 PRN Pharmacy Technicians

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current Texas pharmacist license required
• Experience managing inpatient acute care pharmacy services
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities
• Ability to hold the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) designation
