A critical opportunity is available for a licensed Virginia pharmacist to serve as the working Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) at a newly established behavioral hospital in Lynchburg, VA. This 13-week contract position, with potential for temp-to-hire consideration, begins immediately and plays a key role in supporting pharmacy operations at a cutting-edge facility created through a joint venture.

Location: Lynchburg, VA
Job Type: Contract (13 weeks+) with temp-to-hire option
Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday
  • Day shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the working Pharmacist-in-Charge, actively involved in daily pharmacy operations
  • Dispense medications accurately and efficiently
  • Provide clinical consultation to physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians and manage workflow
  • Restock Automated Dispensing Cabinets (ADCs) and ensure inventory accuracy
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory and safety protocols

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia with the ability to travel
  • Experience as a PIC or in a leadership pharmacy role preferred
  • Strong clinical consultation and communication skills
  • Ability to manage pharmacy staff and operations effectively
  • Familiarity with behavioral health pharmacy needs is advantageous
