Lead pharmacy operations in a specialized hospital dedicated to providing exceptional inpatient post-ICU care for critically ill patients requiring extended recovery. This full-time role is based in Alle Kiski, within the hospital setting, offering an opportunity to oversee and shape pharmacy services that directly impact patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial aspects of the hospital pharmacy.
  • Ensure accurate preparation and dispensing of drugs and chemicals.
  • Maintain compliance with The Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory standards.
  • Manage the Adverse Drug Reaction Program.
  • Develop and implement training and education programs for new pharmacy staff.
  • Engage in quality assurance activities related to drug use and effectiveness.
  • Monitor patient drug therapy and contribute to clinical decision-making.
  • Develop at least one clinical program annually, such as Pharmacokinetic Dosing Service or Pain Management Services.
  • Foster a culture of continuous quality improvement.
  • Provide patient and family education and counseling.

Qualifications:

  • Completion of all educational requirements for state licensure.
  • At least three years of hospital pharmacy experience within the past five years.
  • Current state licensure and BLS certification if required.
  • Preferred: PharmD or BS Pharm with advanced degree or hospital pharmacy residency.
  • Managerial experience of at least one year preferred.
  • Board Certification and/or Residency is advantageous.

Location:

  • Alle Kiski area, within a dedicated post-ICU recovery hospital.
