An experienced pharmacy leader is needed to serve as Interim Director of Pharmacy / Pharmacy Consultant at a 325-bed community hospital. This contract role requires someone who can provide operational leadership and strategic guidance, working closely with the hospital’s Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC) to ensure safe, effective, and compliant medication management. The position offers an ASAP start with a contract duration of 13 weeks or longer.

Key Responsibilities:
- Partner with the PIC to manage daily pharmacy operations and advance strategic departmental priorities
- Provide leadership, coaching, and professional development for pharmacists, technicians, and support staff
- Ensure compliance with DEA, USP, and state regulations, maintaining survey readiness
- Lead initiatives focused on medication safety, staff development, expense control, workflow optimization, and performance improvement
- Collaborate with hospital executives, medical staff, pharmacy department personnel, and interdisciplinary teams to meet hospital and department goals
- Oversee projects involving pharmacy operations, clinical services, purchasing optimization, formulary standardization, and revenue cycle management
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years recent or current experience as Director of Pharmacy in a similar or larger hospital setting
- Active Georgia pharmacy license
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain
