Step into a pivotal leadership role overseeing pharmacy operations at a 325-bed community hospital located in Midland, GA. This contract position offers an exciting opportunity to serve as the Interim Director of Pharmacy / Pharmacy Consultant, providing expert guidance and operational leadership within a dynamic healthcare environment.

Your contributions will be vital in fostering a culture of safety, compliance, and continuous improvement in medication management. Working alongside the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC), you will lead initiatives that drive performance enhancement, ensure regulatory adherence, and optimize workflows.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Partner with the PIC to manage daily pharmacy operations and advance strategic departmental goals
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and professional development opportunities for pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, and support staff
  • Maintain compliance with DEA, USP, and state regulations while ensuring ongoing survey readiness
  • Lead projects focused on medication safety, purchasing optimization, formulary standardization, revenue cycle improvement, and staff development
  • Collaborate effectively with hospital executives, medical staff, and interdisciplinary teams to achieve organizational objectives

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years recent and relevant Director of Pharmacy experience in a comparable hospital setting
  • Active Georgia pharmacy license
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification or willingness to obtain

Schedule:

  • Monday through Friday, daytime hours

This contract role is available for an ASAP start with a duration commitment of at least 13 weeks.
