A prominent healthcare system in Florida is seeking an experienced pharmacy executive to lead a large and dynamic pharmacy department. This direct hire leadership role offers a compelling compensation package and the opportunity to oversee a comprehensive pharmacy operation within a major regional health system.
Position Overview:
- Lead a pharmacy department of over 100 employees with six direct reports, including assistant directors and managers across inpatient, ambulatory, clinical, sterile compounding, and inventory teams.
- Operate within a 772-bed acute care hospital recognized as a Level II Trauma Center with extensive specialized services.
- Provide executive pharmacy leadership, collaborating closely with hospital C-suite and clinical leaders.
- Ensure efficient operation of 24/7 pharmacy services supporting patient care throughout the health system.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Active Florida Pharmacist License and Consultant Pharmacist License in good standing or clear path to obtaining both.
- Minimum three years of Director of Pharmacy experience in an acute care inpatient hospital setting.
- At least three years of acute care inpatient pharmacy experience.
- PharmD degree strongly preferred; board certification and pharmacy residency completion are advantages.
- Proven ability to lead large pharmacy teams across multiple service lines.
- Experience with sterile compounding oversight and operations in a Level I or II Trauma Center environment is a plus.
- Strong executive presence and skills to collaborate with senior hospital leadership.
Location:
- Based in Midway, Florida, within a highly respected healthcare system serving North Florida and South Georgia.
Benefits & Compensation:
- Competitive base salary ranging between $205,000 and $220,000 annually, commensurate with experience.
- $10,000 sign-on bonus.
- Eligibility for an annual company bonus.
