A significant leadership role is available for an experienced pharmacy executive to serve as Director of Pharmacy at a major regional health system in Monticello, FL. This position oversees a robust inpatient pharmacy operation within a 772-bed Level II Trauma Center, supported by a team of over 100 staff members and six direct reports.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage all pharmacy services across inpatient, ambulatory, clinical, sterile compounding, and inventory divisions.
- Collaborate with C-suite executives and healthcare leaders to align pharmacy operations with organizational goals.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain high-quality patient care delivery.
- Oversee 24/7 pharmacy operations, managing staffing, workflow, and resource allocation efficiently.
- Provide executive-level leadership to a diverse pharmacy team, fostering professional development and operational excellence.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Pharmacist License and Florida Consultant Pharmacist License, or ability to obtain both promptly (start contingent upon licensure).
- Minimum of three years’ experience as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting.
- At least three years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy practice.
- PharmD degree strongly preferred.
- Board certification and pharmacy residency completion are strong pluses.
- Proven experience leading large pharmacy teams across multiple services.
- Knowledge of sterile compounding processes is preferred.
- Experience within Level I or II Trauma Center environments is advantageous.

This direct hire role offers a competitive base salary ranging from $205,000 to $220,000 annually, complemented by a $10,000 sign-on bonus and eligibility for an annual bonus.
