Director of Pharmacy in Naperville, IL

Lead pharmacy operations in a key leadership role overseeing clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management within an acute care inpatient hospital setting. Reporting directly to hospital administration, this position requires collaboration with clinical leadership teams across the organization to ensure high-quality pharmacy services that support patient care and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide full-scope leadership and management of pharmacy operations, ensuring optimal clinical outcomes and efficient use of resources
• Oversee staffing, including full-time, part-time, and PRN pharmacy personnel, fostering a productive and collaborative team environment
• Ensure compliance with Joint Commission, CMS, and other regulatory standards
• Collaborate with hospital administration and clinical teams to align pharmacy services with organizational goals
• Manage budgeting, financial performance, and operational policies for the pharmacy department

Required Qualifications:

• Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing (mandatory; all active and inactive licenses must be disclosed and verified)
• Minimum three years' experience as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting
• Minimum three years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• PharmD degree strongly preferred
• Board Certification is a strong plus
• Completion of a hospital pharmacy residency program a plus
• Proven experience managing a pharmacy team of varied employment types (full-time, part-time, PRN)
• Strong background with Joint Commission and CMS compliance
• Experience in community or safety-net hospital settings advantageous
