This leadership position calls for an experienced pharmacy professional to head all clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial aspects of a well-established inpatient hospital pharmacy. Serving as the Director of Pharmacy, you will report directly to hospital administration while partnering closely with clinical leadership teams to advance patient care services and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee full-scope pharmacy operations including clinical services, staff management, and budgetary oversight
  • Lead and inspire a diverse pharmacy team comprised of full-time, part-time, and PRN staff members
  • Ensure compliance with Joint Commission and CMS regulations
  • Collaborate with hospital administration and multidisciplinary clinical teams to deliver quality patient care
  • Drive initiatives that support community health, especially within underserved populations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing (mandatory)
  • Minimum three years of experience as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting (mandatory)
  • At least three years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience (mandatory)
  • PharmD degree strongly preferred
  • Board certification and hospital pharmacy residency completion are strong assets
  • Proven experience managing multi-level pharmacy teams
  • Strong background in Joint Commission and CMS compliance
  • Experience in community or safety net hospitals is a plus

Location: This opportunity is based in the Naperville, IL area with an openness to relocating to Chicago’s South Side if not already local.
