Director of Pharmacy - Nashville, Tennessee

A leadership role is available for a Pharmacy Director of Pharmacy at a rapidly expanding dermatology-focused pharmacy headquartered in Middle Tennessee. This position emphasizes compliance, quality assurance, and operational excellence in a fast-growing environment serving 17 states.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead preparedness for URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP 795/800, DEA, and state board compliance audits.
• Develop and implement scalable SOPs, compliance workflows, tracking systems, and documentation procedures.
• Conduct mock audits to identify operational gaps and resolve compliance vulnerabilities proactively.
• Manage multi-state licensure tracking and maintain operational compliance standards.
• Create and deliver compliance training programs to pharmacy staff.
• Collaborate with leadership teams to improve operational accountability and quality assurance.
• Drive consistency and audit readiness across multiple pharmacy locations.
• Travel quarterly to the pharmacy location in Abilene, TX.

Qualifications:

• Active Tennessee Pharmacist license required, with openness to candidates from diverse backgrounds.
• Minimum 5 years’ leadership experience in pharmacy compliance, accreditation, regulatory oversight, or quality assurance preferred.
• Strong working knowledge of URAC, NABP/VIPPS, USP 795/800, DEA, and state board regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to build compliance systems, enhance processes, and enforce accountability.
• Excellent organizational, documentation, and communication skills.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
• Proficient with compliance management systems, spreadsheets, LMS platforms, and reporting tools.

Location and Schedule:

• Primarily onsite in Franklin, TN, with limited remote flexibility after onboarding.
• Monday through Friday, 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM.
• No on-call or weekend duty.
• Quarterly travel to Abilene, TX pharmacy location.
• Preference for local candidates; relocation assistance available for the right fit.
