Director of Pharmacy - Naval Anacost Annex, DC

An Interim Director of Pharmacy position is available at a 100-bed community hospital in Northern Virginia, located conveniently near the DC metro area. This contract role offers a Monday through Friday day-shift schedule, providing oversight of the pharmacy department's day-to-day operations within a hospital averaging 20 to 40 patients daily.

Responsibilities include supervising pharmacy staff, ensuring compliance with all regulatory standards, participating in departmental and hospital-wide meetings, and managing pharmacy operations to maintain high-quality patient care and safety.

The ideal candidate will hold a valid Virginia Pharmacist license and have approximately two years of recent inpatient management experience. Proficiency with Meditech and Omnicell systems is essential to effectively lead the department and optimize pharmacy services.

Key Qualifications:

• Licensed Pharmacist in Virginia
• Around 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy management experience
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records
• Experience using Omnicell automated medication systems
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Knowledge of pharmacy compliance and regulatory requirements
