Lead the pharmacy operations of a community-focused acute care hospital as the working Director of Pharmacy, holding the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) license. This direct hire, permanent opportunity is based in New Kensington, PA, offering a balanced schedule to support both leadership and hands-on clinical responsibilities.

Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday through Friday, approximately 7:00 AM to 4:30 PM
  • Rotating weekend coverage with about 4 hours of flexible time; compensating weekday off provided when weekend shifts are worked

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations while actively participating in dispensing and clinical activities
  • Manage and mentor a small, close-knit pharmacy team including 1 full-time staff pharmacist, 1 full-time pharmacy technician, and 2 per diem pharmacists
  • Maintain compliance and operational standards using current Med Host and paper systems, with an upcoming transition to EPIC
  • Balance administrative tasks with direct patient care to ensure high-quality pharmacy services

Qualifications:

  • Acute care hospital pharmacy experience is essential
  • Pharmacy management or director-level experience strongly preferred
  • Must be comfortable with a hands-on leadership style, engaging in both clinical and operational duties daily
  • Pennsylvania Pharmacist License required or the willingness to obtain one
  • Strong administrative, clinical, and operational skills
  • Retail-only pharmacy experience is not suitable for this role
