Director of Pharmacy - New Pine Creek, Oregon

A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Director of Pharmacy to lead operations at a critical access hospital with 25 beds and a daily census of about 10 patients. This role is based in New Pine Creek, OR, offering a 13-week assignment with the possibility of direct hire.

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday through Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as the working Director of Pharmacy and staff pharmacist, overseeing daily pharmacy operations
• Manage pharmacy staff and workflows in a critical access hospital setting
• Perform inpatient pharmacy duties, ensuring safe and effective medication use
• Participate in sterile compounding as needed
• Verify intravenous preparations compounded by pharmacy technicians

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Valid Oregon pharmacy license
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience
• Pharmacy management experience, preferably in a hospital environment
• Experience with sterile compounding procedures

Facility & Technology:

• Critical access hospital with a 25-bed capacity
• Daily census averaging 10 beds
• Pharmacy staffed with 2 pharmacy technicians daily
• Utilizes Cerner for order entry and Omnicell automation systems
