Director of Pharmacy - New Pine Creek, OR

Lead pharmacy operations as the Director of Pharmacy in a critical access hospital setting, overseeing inpatient pharmacy services and managing daily staff. This contract opportunity spans 13 weeks with the possibility for direct hire, located in New Pine Creek, OR.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No on-call responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

• Serve as a working Director of Pharmacy and staff pharmacist, actively participating in inpatient pharmacy duties
• Manage and schedule pharmacy staff to ensure smooth operation of pharmacy services
• Perform sterile compounding procedures when required
• Review and verify intravenous (IV) medication orders prepared by pharmacy technicians
• Utilize Cerner for electronic order entry and manage automation through Omnicell systems

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Oregon pharmacy license
• Proven inpatient pharmacy experience
• Experience in pharmacy management, including supervising pharmacy technicians and staff
• Proficiency in sterile compounding techniques
• Familiarity with Cerner order entry system and Omnicell automation preferred

Work Environment:

• Critical access hospital with 25 beds and an average daily census of 10 patients
• Pharmacy staffed daily by two technicians, supporting streamlined workflows
