A contract opportunity is available for an experienced Pharmacy Director of Pharmacy to lead operations at a critical access hospital with 25 beds and a daily census of about 10 patients. This role is based in New Pine Creek, OR, offering a 13-week assignment with the possibility of direct hire.
Schedule/Hours:
- Monday through Friday
- 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
- No on-call responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the working Director of Pharmacy and staff pharmacist, overseeing daily pharmacy operations
- Manage pharmacy staff and workflows in a critical access hospital setting
- Perform inpatient pharmacy duties, ensuring safe and effective medication use
- Participate in sterile compounding as needed
- Verify intravenous preparations compounded by pharmacy technicians
Qualifications/Desired Experience:
- Valid Oregon pharmacy license
- Proven inpatient pharmacy experience
- Pharmacy management experience, preferably in a hospital environment
- Experience with sterile compounding procedures
Facility & Technology:
- Critical access hospital with a 25-bed capacity
- Daily census averaging 10 beds
- Pharmacy staffed with 2 pharmacy technicians daily
- Utilizes Cerner for order entry and Omnicell automation systems
