A community health system anchored by a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital and a 10-bed inpatient Behavioral Health Unit is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead pharmacy operations. This direct hire position is an excellent opportunity for a motivated pharmacy professional to make a direct impact on patient care within a collaborative and close-knit healthcare environment.

Location:

  • New York, NY (Finger Lakes region)

Schedule:

  • Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
  • Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
  • Sunday: Closed
  • Holidays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations within the health system
  • Lead and manage a pharmacy team comprised of full-time and PRN pharmacists and technicians
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations and quality standards
  • Collaborate with clinical and administrative teams to optimize medication management and patient outcomes
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and strategic initiatives to improve pharmacy services

Qualifications:

  • Current, active pharmacy license in good standing in New York State, or willingness to obtain prior to start (employment contingent on licensure)
  • Disclosure and verification of all active/inactive pharmacist licenses required
  • Minimum of 3 years acute care hospital management experience
  • 3–5 years hospital pharmacy experience
