Director of Pharmacy in New York, NY

An established county-owned health system in New York is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy to lead and oversee pharmacy operations within a close-knit, community-focused healthcare environment. This direct hire position offers the opportunity to make a direct impact on patient care while managing a manageable-sized department supported by a tenured pharmacy team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and quality patient care
• Lead and mentor a pharmacy team consisting of full-time and PRN pharmacists and technicians
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals across departments to optimize medication use and safety
• Manage departmental budgeting, staffing, and workflow to maintain efficient operations
• Develop and implement pharmacy policies, procedures, and quality improvement initiatives

Qualifications:

• Current, active pharmacist license in good standing in the State of New York, or willingness to obtain licensure prior to employment
• Disclosure of all active and inactive pharmacy licenses for verification
• Minimum of 3 years of acute care hospital management experience
• 3–5 years of hospital pharmacy experience

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
• Sunday: Closed
• Holidays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM

• 2 Full-Time Pharmacists
• 2 Full-Time Pharmacy Technicians
• 2 PRN Pharmacists
• 1 PRN Pharmacy Technician
