An opportunity is available for a seasoned Director of Pharmacy to lead and manage pharmacy operations within a trusted county-owned health system anchored by a 25-bed Critical Access Hospital and a 10-bed inpatient Behavioral Health Unit. This role is ideal for a pharmacy leader who values close-knit, community-focused healthcare environments and collaborative team dynamics.
Responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy services, guiding a skilled team consisting of two full-time pharmacists, two full-time pharmacy technicians, along with PRN staff, and ensuring the delivery of quality pharmaceutical care. As the pharmacy department head, you will directly influence patient outcomes through strategic leadership and operational management.
Pharmacy Operation Hours:
- Monday – Friday: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- Saturday: 7:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Sunday: Closed
- Holidays: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Desired Qualifications:
- Active and current pharmacy license in good standing in New York State, or willingness to obtain prior to start (employment contingent upon licensure)
- Disclosure and verification of all active and inactive pharmacist licenses
- Minimum of 3 years of acute care hospital management experience
- 3 to 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience
