Lead pharmaceutical services as the Director of Pharmacy at a well-established hospital located in Yorktown, VA. This full-time, direct hire position offers the opportunity to drive clinical pharmacy operations and collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all pharmacy services, including clinical functions, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as Joint Commission, DOH, and Board of Pharmacy.
- Supervise pharmacy department supervisors and staff, directing daily operations to enhance service quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
- Develop and implement departmental objectives aligned with hospital policies, ensuring staff are well-trained, engaged, and provided with continuous learning and career growth opportunities.
- Provide ongoing performance feedback to foster skill development and process improvements.
- Manage budgeting for capital equipment and operational expenses, projecting departmental revenues.
- Serve on hospital committees, participate in meetings, and communicate policies concerning pharmacy services hospital-wide.
- Maintain proper documentation systems for authorized prescribers and pharmaceutical supply requisitioning.
Qualifications:
- Current state pharmacist licensure is required.
- Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years.
- Proven ability to operate an efficient pharmacy within a healthcare organization.
- Preferred: At least one year in a managerial position demonstrating leadership capabilities.
