Director of Pharmacy | Omaha, Nebraska

This interim leadership opportunity is designed for an experienced pharmacist ready to oversee pharmacy operations in an inpatient behavioral health setting. You will manage daily pharmacy activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, medication safety, and effective distribution processes. This role supports the organization during the transition period until a permanent Director of Pharmacy is appointed.

Duration: Until permanent hire

Shift/Hours:

• Monday to Friday
• 6 hours per day

Responsibilities:

• Oversee pharmacy operations, including medication dispensing and automated system management
• Repackage medications using systems such as Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL
• Load drugs into automated dispensing machines and run restock reports regularly
• Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety protocols
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support patient care needs

Qualifications/Desired Experience:

• Active Iowa Pharmacist license
• Experience with Omnicell automated medication systems preferred
• Familiarity with repackaging medications using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems
• Basic knowledge of automated dispensing machine operation and inventory restocking
