Director of Pharmacy - Omaha, NE

An opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy in an inpatient behavioral health setting located in Council Bluffs, IA. This contract assignment begins on 5/18 and will continue until a permanent candidate is hired. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule, working 6 hours each day, ideal for professionals seeking a balanced workweek.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations
• Manage medication dispensing and repackaging tasks using systems such as Milt/Medi-dose or HCL
• Load drugs into automated machines and run restock reports to maintain efficient inventory control
• Lead and support pharmacy staff to deliver quality pharmaceutical care within an inpatient behavioral health environment

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Active Iowa pharmacist license required
• Experience with Omnicell systems preferred
• Familiarity with repackaging medications using Milt/Medi-dose or HCL highly desirable
• Basic knowledge of automated medication dispensing machines and inventory management tools
