Soliant is seeking an experienced Director of Pharmacy for a permanent leadership opportunity in Tallahassee, Florida. This is a high-level pharmacy leadership role with responsibility for a large, 24/7 acute care pharmacy operation and a team of more than 100 employees. The ideal candidate will bring strong Director-level hospital experience and the executive presence needed to lead multiple pharmacy service lines.

Position Details

  • Location: Tallahassee, FL
  • Employment Type: Direct Hire, Permanent
  • Setting: 772-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center
  • Schedule: Full-time; oversight of 24-hour, 7-day-per-week pharmacy operations
  • Compensation: Competitive salary plus sign-on and annual bonus eligibility

Responsibilities

  • Lead pharmacy operations, clinical services, staffing, quality, regulatory compliance, and financial performance.
  • Direct a pharmacy team of 100+ employees with six direct reports across inpatient, ambulatory, clinical, sterile compounding, and inventory operations.
  • Partner with hospital executives, physicians, nursing leadership, and other departments to support patient care initiatives.
  • Oversee safe and efficient pharmacy services within a complex acute care and trauma center environment.
  • Develop pharmacy strategy, staff performance, and operational improvements across multiple service lines.

Requirements

  • Active Florida Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain.
  • Active Florida Consultant Pharmacist License or willingness to obtain.
  • 3+ years of Director of Pharmacy experience in an acute care inpatient hospital setting — required.
  • 3+ years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience — required.
  • All active and inactive pharmacist licenses must be disclosed and verified in good standing.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PharmD strongly preferred.
  • Board certification preferred.
  • Pharmacy residency completion a plus.
  • Experience leading large pharmacy teams across multiple service lines.
  • Sterile compounding oversight experience.
  • Previous experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center.
