Lead pharmacy operations as a Pharmacy Director in a dynamic hospital environment located in Owasso, OK. This direct hire position offers the opportunity to oversee and innovate pharmacy services within a large healthcare facility known for comprehensive specialty centers, including burn care, women’s health, rehabilitation, cancer treatment, and cardiac services.

Schedule:

  • 8-hour day shifts

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, organize, control, and supervise hospital pharmacy activities in compliance with hospital policies, professional standards, and legal regulations.
  • Introduce practice innovations and support corporate initiatives to enhance pharmacy functions.
  • Mentor and oversee clinical pharmacists and support staff.
  • Ensure departmental compliance with JCAHO, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy standards.
  • Maintain safety, infection control, and disaster preparedness within the department.
  • Set quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals in collaboration with leadership.
  • Lead recruitment, training, evaluation, and retention of pharmacy personnel.
  • Promote effective teamwork across multidisciplinary teams to achieve organizational goals.
  • Develop and maintain department policies and procedures, aligned with hospital objectives.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years hospital pharmacy experience; 2 years in a leadership role.
  • Active Pharmacist license in good standing with relevant State Board of Pharmacy.
  • Ability to obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire. Preferred:
  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • 5+ years hospital pharmacy experience.
  • ALS/ACLS certification for Code Blue response.
