Lead the pharmacy operations of a hospital as a Pharmacy Director in Tulsa, OK. Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, control, and supervise hospital pharmacy activities in line with hospital policies and federal and state laws.
- Recommend and implement innovations in pharmacy practice and operations to senior administration.
- Provide mentorship and oversight to clinical pharmacists and support staff.
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, safety, infection control, and disaster planning requirements.
- Set and communicate department goals related to quality, fiscal management, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
- Manage recruitment, training, evaluation, retention, and termination of pharmacy staff.
- Maintain department policies and procedures regularly.
- Foster multidisciplinary teamwork among staff, physicians, and other healthcare providers.
- Participate actively in team meetings and maintain effective professional communication.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor of Science (B.S.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) from an ACPE-accredited institution.
- Minimum three years of hospital pharmacy experience; five years preferred.
- At least two years in a leadership role within hospital pharmacy.
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
- Compliance with state requirements such as sterile compounding.
- BLS certification must be obtained within 14 days of hire; ALS/ACLS preferred or required if attending Code Blue.
