Director of Pharmacy in Owasso, OK

Lead pharmacy operations as a Pharmacy Director in Tulsa, OK, overseeing hospital pharmacy functions in alignment with regulatory standards and organizational goals. This direct hire opportunity allows you to shape pharmacy services by driving quality improvements, mentoring clinical staff, and ensuring compliance with federal and state regulations.

Schedule:

• 8 hours per day, Day shift

Location:

• Tulsa, Oklahoma (relocation assistance may be available)

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, organize, and supervise pharmacy activities according to hospital policies and legal requirements.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to clinical pharmacists and support personnel.
• Ensure department adherence to JCAHO, DEA, and State Board of Pharmacy regulations.
• Develop and implement policies, performance standards, and quality improvement initiatives.
• Manage recruitment, training, evaluation, and retention of pharmacy staff.
• Promote effective communication and collaboration with healthcare teams.
• Oversee safety, infection control, and disaster preparedness within the pharmacy department.
• Monitor fiscal and productivity goals in partnership with senior management.

Desired Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an ACPE-accredited school.
• Minimum three years hospital pharmacy experience.
• At least two years leadership experience.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the appropriate State Board of Pharmacy.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification obtained within 14 days of hire.
• Additional certifications such as sterile compounding and ALS/ACLS preferred.
