Director of Pharmacy | Papillion, Nebraska

An opening opportunity is available for an Interim Pharmacist in Charge/Director of Pharmacy to support an inpatient behavioral health facility in Council Bluffs, IA. This contract position begins on May 18 and will continue until a permanent candidate is hired. The role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, working 6 hours per day.

Key responsibilities include overseeing pharmacy operations, ensuring compliance with regulations, managing medication dispensing automation, and supporting staff in delivering quality patient care. Experience with repackaging medications using Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL systems will be advantageous, along with the ability to load drugs into automated dispensing machines and generate restock reports.

Qualifications or Desired Experience:

• Valid Iowa pharmacist license
• Previous Omnicell experience preferred
• Familiarity with repackaging systems such as Milt, Medi-dose, or HCL
• Basic knowledge of automated drug dispensing machine operations
• Strong leadership and organizational skills in a healthcare setting
