A leadership opportunity is available for an experienced Director of Pharmacy with PIC responsibilities at a behavioral hospital site focused on inpatient care. This role requires managing all pharmacy operations at a newly opening facility serving behavioral health patients.

Located in the Peoria, IL area, this contract position begins as soon as May 25th through July, with potential for end date adjustments. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 4:30 pm, with on-call duties following each shift. Weekend on-call coverage may also be required.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all pharmacy functions as the Director of Pharmacy and PIC
  • Lead the opening and setup of the pharmacy, including stocking and organizing Omnicell automation systems
  • Approve medication orders and maintain pharmacy compliance
  • Participate in Pharmacy & Therapeutics (P&T) committee meetings
  • Manage pharmacy operations independently without technician support

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Illinois pharmacist license required
  • Experience in inpatient hospital pharmacy, preferably within behavioral health settings
  • Familiarity with HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation preferred, with training provided as needed
