Join a specialized hospital dedicated to providing world-class inpatient post-ICU care for chronically and critically ill patients requiring extended recovery. This full-time role as Director of Pharmacy is located inside a critical illness recovery facility in Alle Kiski, Pennsylvania.

In this leadership position, you will be the pharmacy head, collaborating closely with the CEO and clinical teams to ensure optimal clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management of the hospital pharmacy. Your responsibilities include:

  • Preparing all medications accurately, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards such as The Joint Commission and CMS
  • Managing the Adverse Drug Reaction Program efficiently
  • Developing and conducting training and education for new employees
  • Participating in quality assurance initiatives related to drug utilization and therapeutic effectiveness
  • Monitoring patient drug therapy and developing at least one clinical program annually, including areas such as Pharmacokinetic Dosing, Patient Counseling, Pain Management, or Nutritional Support
  • Promoting continuous quality improvement within the pharmacy environment
  • Providing education and counseling to patients and their families

Qualifications required:

  • Completion of all educational requirements necessary for state licensure
  • At least three years of hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years
  • Current state pharmacy license maintained
  • BLS certification if required by the state

Preferred qualifications that enhance success in this position include:

  • PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree combined with an advanced degree or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency
  • Minimum of one year in a managerial role
  • Board Certification and/or completion of residency program
