This opportunity is for an Interim Director of Pharmacy in a 25-bed critical access hospital with an 18-bed skilled nursing facility in Radcliff, KY. This contract role offers a Monday through Friday schedule, 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM, with a duration of 13 weeks or longer, and the potential to transition to a permanent position.
Responsibilities include overseeing order verifications, consulting with physicians and nursing staff, and managing pharmacy operations to ensure safe and effective medication use. The role demands strong leadership to coordinate pharmacy services within both the hospital and skilled nursing facility settings.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Active Kentucky pharmacy license
- Experience in hospital pharmacy management or leadership
- Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records and MedDispense automation
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clinical teams
