An opportunity is available for an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge to provide leadership coverage at a behavioral health facility in North Texas. This role is ideal for a pharmacist skilled in inpatient pharmacy services, with a focus on behavioral health considered a plus. The position requires a valid Texas Pharmacist license.

Location: Greenville, TX
Facility: Behavioral Health Hospital with 54 licensed beds (expanding to 78 beds in January 2027)
Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, plus on-call duties
  • Occasional weekend coverage Saturday and Sunday, 6:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Responsibilities:

  • Manage pharmacy operations as Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist in Charge
  • Oversee staffing, scheduling, and training of pharmacy personnel including full-time and per diem pharmacists and technicians
  • Support inventory management, order entry, and medication delivery within a behavioral health inpatient setting
  • Lead and participate in Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee work and other administrative duties
  • Collaborate closely with outgoing Director of Pharmacy for seamless transition and training
  • Ensure compliance with state and accreditation standards
  • Support staff and operational needs in a stable but evolving environment

Desired Experience and Qualifications:

  • Texas pharmacist licensure required
  • Inpatient hospital pharmacy experience; behavioral health experience highly preferred
  • Experience with order entry systems and pharmacy automation (e.g., HCS, Omnicell) is a plus but not required
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
