Soliant is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy to cover a leave of absence at a behavioral health hospital in Sacramento. This role will serve as the Interim DOP and PIC for two facilities, making it a strong opportunity for an experienced pharmacy leader looking for a short-term management assignment. Position Details

• Start: By October 5
• Duration: Approximately 8-12 weeks
• Schedule: 40 hours/week
• Pharmacy Hours: Monday-Friday, 7:30 AM - 7:00 PM
• Weekend coverage: Potential 8:00 AM - 1:00 PM coverage
• On-call: Required when pharmacy is closed
• Setting: Behavioral health
• Local and travel candidates welcome

Leadership Responsibilities

• Serve as Interim Director of Pharmacy and PIC for two facilities
• Manage pharmacy operations and staff
• Handle scheduling for both facilities
• Maintain continuity of pharmacy staffing
• Support staff management and workflow
• Participate in pharmacy committee activities
• Provide pharmacy coverage/staffing as needed
• Ensure pharmacy operations remain compliant and organized throughout the leave coverage

Pharmacy Details

• 125 licensed beds
• Average daily census of approximately 120
• Behavioral health / psychiatric setting
• HCS order entry system — training provided
• No pharmacy automation currently in place
• 2 pharmacy technicians
• 3 PRN pharmacists
• Technician order-entry support Monday-Friday, 8:00 AM - 2:30 PM
• Joint Commission visit completed in 2025

Requirements

• Active California Pharmacist license
• Pharmacy management experience required
• Hospital pharmacy experience preferred
• Candidates without hospital experience may be considered with the right leadership background
• Comfortable managing staff, scheduling, and day-to-day pharmacy operations
• Able to serve as PIC for both facilities
