This opportunity calls for an experienced pharmacy leader to serve as Interim Director of Pharmacy at a new inpatient behavioral health facility launching soon. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead pharmacy setup initiatives including medication procurement, packaging, and Pyxis stocking
- Perform order verification and medication therapy services once patients are admitted
- Coordinate closely with executive leadership and regional Director of Pharmacy to ensure seamless operations
- Provide on-call support Monday through Friday, with additional assistance as startup needs evolve
- Oversee compliance with behavioral health pharmacy standards, leveraging expertise in psychiatric care and Pyxis automation
- Remote training support available from Area Director of Pharmacy
Desired Qualifications:
- Licensed pharmacist in Missouri with credentials to provide Medication Therapy Services
- Demonstrated experience managing pharmacy operations in an inpatient behavioral health setting
- Proficiency with Pyxis automation systems and familiarity with HCS order entry system (training provided)
- Strong communication skills and ability to work independently without pharmacy technician support
- Ability to cover weekday hours Monday–Friday 8 a.m.–4 p.m., plus on-call coverage and occasional weekend on-call
- Preference given to local candidates able to start July 6 and commit for approximately eight weeks until permanent pharmacist is onboarded
