This interim leadership opportunity is ideal for an experienced pharmacy professional ready to oversee pharmacy operations at a 70-bed long-term acute care (LTAC) hospital. Situated in San Diego, CA, this role offers a dynamic environment to provide strategic direction and ensure the highest standards of pharmaceutical care as the Pharmacist-in-Charge (PIC).
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive oversight of all pharmacy functions and staff.
- Serve as the Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
- Manage medication distribution and inventory control.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to optimize patient care and medication management.
- Utilize RX Connect software to support pharmacy operations and reporting.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active California pharmacist license required.
- Demonstrated experience as a Director of Pharmacy, preferably within California healthcare settings.
- Strong leadership skills with proven ability to manage pharmacy teams effectively.
- Familiarity with regulatory requirements and accreditation standards.
- Proficient with pharmacy information systems, particularly RX Connect.
Schedule and Location:
- Monday through Friday, day shifts.
- Based in San Diego, CA.
- Contract position for 13+ weeks with the potential to transition to permanent.
