Inpatient Hospital Director of Pharmacy | Sapulpa, Oklahoma

Lead pharmacy operations as a Director of Pharmacy at a renowned 656-bed medical center in Sapulpa, OK, offering comprehensive specialty care services including burn treatment, women’s health, cancer therapy, rehabilitation, and cardiac care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee hospital pharmacy functions in compliance with federal, state, and hospital policies.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement aligned with corporate initiatives.
• Provide leadership, mentorship, and support to clinical pharmacists and pharmacy staff.
• Ensure adherence to JCAHO, DEA, and State Board regulations along with safety, infection control, and disaster preparedness policies.
• Establish and monitor goals around quality improvement, fiscal management, productivity, and patient satisfaction.
• Manage recruitment, orientation, training, evaluation, and retention of pharmacy personnel.
• Foster multidisciplinary teamwork and effective communication across departments.
• Develop, implement, and review pharmacy-specific policies and procedures regularly.
• Lead department meetings and actively contribute to team collaboration.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor of Science or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) from an ACPE-accredited institution.
• Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience; at least two years in leadership roles.
• Active pharmacist license in good standing with the relevant State Board of Pharmacy.
• BLS certification required within 14 days of employment. Preferred:
• PharmD degree.
• Five or more years of hospital pharmacy experience.
• ALS/ACLS certification (required for Code Blue attendance).

Work Schedule:

• 8 hours per day, day shift.
