Director of Pharmacy | Summit, New Jersey

An opportunity is available for a Director of Pharmacy who will also serve as the Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) at a behavioral health facility in Summit, NJ. This contract position offers a collaborative environment within a well-established site recently reviewed by both Joint Commission and state surveyors.

Location: Summit, NJ

Schedule/Hours:

• Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM
• On-call coverage after each shift and on weekends

Key Responsibilities:

• Fulfill PIC responsibilities with a minimum commitment of 35 hours per week
• Oversee order verification and medication management processes
• Participate in meetings and maintain pharmacy schedules
• Support staff and help relieve workload pressures
• Assist with Pharmacy and Therapeutics (P&T) data collection
• Collaborate with onsite staff training, with support readily available
• No sterile compounding duties required

Qualifications and Experience:

• Current New Jersey Pharmacist license is mandatory
• Experience with HCS order entry system is required
• Familiarity with Omnicell automation is advantageous
• Background in behavioral health pharmacy practice preferred
• Previous experience in policy development and compliance strongly desired

• Staff includes 1 full-time technician supported by multiple per-diem and part-time technicians and pharmacists
• Tech support available for Omnicell filling and order processing
