Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and operational management for pharmacy services covering inpatient, ambulatory, clinical, sterile compounding, and inventory management.
- Lead and mentor a team comprising six managers and assistant directors across various pharmacy service lines.
- Oversee 24/7 pharmacy operations to ensure compliance, safety, and optimal patient care.
- Collaborate with hospital C-suite executives and clinical leadership to align pharmacy services with organizational goals.
- Maintain standards in sterile compounding and support trauma center pharmacy requirements within a high-acuity environment.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and maintain active licensure credentials required by state and professional bodies.
Qualifications:
- Active Florida Pharmacist License and Consultant Pharmacist License or a clear path to obtain both promptly (mandatory).
- Minimum of three years’ experience as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting.
- At least three years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
- PharmD degree strongly preferred.
- Board certification and completion of a pharmacy residency program are advantageous.
- Experience overseeing large pharmacy teams and sterile compounding operations is preferred.
- Prior leadership experience in a Level I or Level II Trauma Center environment is a plus.
