Inpatient Director of Pharmacy in Tallahassee, FL

Lead pharmacy operations at a major regional health system as Director of Pharmacy in Tallahassee, Florida. This direct hire position offers an executive leadership opportunity overseeing a pharmacy team of over 100 employees within a 772-bed Level II Trauma Center. The role involves managing six direct reports across inpatient, ambulatory, clinical, sterile compounding, and inventory areas, ensuring 24/7 pharmacy services.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and direction for all inpatient and outpatient pharmacy services.
• Manage a diverse pharmacy team including Assistant Directors and Managers across multiple specialties.
• Oversee 24-hour, 7-day a week pharmacy operations in a high-acuity acute care hospital setting.
• Collaborate with C-suite and clinical leadership to align pharmacy services with organizational goals.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain pharmacy licensure requirements.
• Drive quality improvement initiatives and operational efficiencies within the pharmacy department.

Qualifications:

• Active Florida Pharmacist License and Consultant Pharmacist License or a clear path to obtain both rapidly.
• Minimum of three years as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital required.
• At least three years of acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy experience.
• PharmD preferred; Board Certification and pharmacy residency strongly preferred.
• Experience leading large pharmacy teams across multiple service lines.
• Sterile compounding oversight experience preferred.
• Experience working in a Level I or II Trauma Center environment is a strong plus.
• Demonstrated executive presence and ability to collaborate with senior hospital leadership.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive base salary from $205,000 to $220,000, commensurate with experience.
• Sign-on bonus up to $10,000.
