Director of Pharmacy - Tallahassee, FL

A leadership position is available for an experienced Director of Pharmacy overseeing a large multidisciplinary team and multiple operational areas within a healthcare setting. This role requires strong management skills and clinical expertise to ensure effective pharmacy operations and patient care quality.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise over 100 employees, including full-time, part-time, and PRN staff.
• Directly manage key departmental leaders: Associate Directors of Pharmacy for inpatient and ambulatory care, Clinical Pharmacy team, Inventory Manager, Operations Manager, and Sterile Compounding Manager.
• Oversee daily pharmacy operations, ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, and manage staffing to meet clinical service demands.
• Collaborate with medical and administrative leadership to implement best practices and enhance pharmacy services.
• Maintain and enforce standards for sterile compounding and inventory control.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years of management experience in a pharmacy setting.
• 3 to 5 years of hospital pharmacy experience with substantial clinical and staffing exposure.
• Possession of a current Florida Pharmacy License or willingness to obtain one.
• Required: Florida Consultant’s License.
