This direct hire opportunity offers a leadership role overseeing the pharmacy operations at a well-established acute care hospital located in the South Side of Chicago. The hospital has a rich history of community service since 1912, providing a meaningful environment for pharmacy leadership.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management of the inpatient pharmacy department.
- Collaborate closely with hospital administration and clinical leadership teams to ensure optimal pharmacy services.
- Manage pharmacy operations during extended hours, supporting a team of approximately 20 employees, including full-time, part-time, and PRN staff.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing (mandatory).
- Minimum of three years’ experience as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting.
- At least three years’ experience in acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy.
- PharmD degree strongly preferred.
- Board Certification and completion of hospital pharmacy residency are advantages.
- Proven ability to manage diverse pharmacy teams.
- Familiarity with Joint Commission and CMS compliance standards.
- Experience in community or safety net hospital environments is a plus.

- Chicago, Illinois — South Side community hospital.

Pharmacy Schedule:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
- Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
