This direct hire opportunity offers a leadership role overseeing the pharmacy operations at a well-established acute care hospital located in the South Side of Chicago. The hospital has a rich history of community service since 1912, providing a meaningful environment for pharmacy leadership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial management of the inpatient pharmacy department.
  • Collaborate closely with hospital administration and clinical leadership teams to ensure optimal pharmacy services.
  • Manage pharmacy operations during extended hours, supporting a team of approximately 20 employees, including full-time, part-time, and PRN staff.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Active Illinois Pharmacist License in good standing (mandatory).
  • Minimum of three years’ experience as Director of Pharmacy in an acute care inpatient hospital setting.
  • At least three years’ experience in acute care inpatient hospital pharmacy.
  • PharmD degree strongly preferred.
  • Board Certification and completion of hospital pharmacy residency are advantages.
  • Proven ability to manage diverse pharmacy teams.
  • Familiarity with Joint Commission and CMS compliance standards.
  • Experience in community or safety net hospital environments is a plus.

Location:

  • Chicago, Illinois — South Side community hospital.
  • Relocation assistance considered based on distance.

Pharmacy Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday: 7:00 AM – 10:00 PM
  • Saturday and Sunday: 7:00 AM – 8:00 PM
