Director of Pharmacy in Trenton, NJ

This leadership role as Director of Pharmacy involves comprehensive oversight of the hospital pharmacy’s clinical, operational, administrative, staffing, and financial functions. Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating closely with clinical teams, the Director ensures top-quality pharmaceutical services and compliance with regulatory standards.

Job Type: Direct Hire
Compensation: $130,000 - $160,000 (based on years of experience)

Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage all pharmacy operations within the facility
• Collaborate with executive leadership and clinical teams to develop and implement pharmacy services
• Ensure compliance with all state licensure and regulatory requirements
• Oversee pharmacy staffing, budgeting, and financial management
• Maintain quality assurance and promote safe medication practices

Qualifications:

• Successful completion of all educational requirements mandated for state licensure
• Minimum of three (3) years hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years
• Current pharmacy license in the state of practice
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification if required by state

Preferred Qualifications:

• PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree plus an advanced degree or completion of a hospital pharmacy residency
• At least one (1) year in a managerial or leadership role
• Board Certification and/or completion of residency highly desirable
