Lead pharmacy operations as the Director of Pharmacy at a prominent 656-bed medical center in Tulsa, OK, featuring specialized services such as a burn center, women’s health, cancer treatment, rehabilitation, and cardiac care. Schedule:
- 8 hours per day, day shift
Responsibilities:
- Plan, organize, control, and supervise hospital pharmacy operations according to policies, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
- Recommend practice innovations and execute corporate initiatives in partnership with Administration
- Support, mentor, and oversee clinical pharmacists and support staff
- Ensure compliance with JCAHO, DEA, State Board of Pharmacy, and safety/infection control standards
- Set and communicate quality improvement, fiscal, productivity, and patient satisfaction goals aligned with hospital objectives
- Lead recruitment, training, performance evaluation, retention, and if needed, termination of pharmacy personnel
- Maintain policies and procedures and facilitate ongoing staff education and competency assessments
- Foster teamwork among pharmacy staff, healthcare providers, and other departments to enhance patient care and organizational goals
Qualifications:
- B.S. or Pharm.D. from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy
- Minimum three years of hospital pharmacy experience; two years in leadership
- Active pharmacist license in good standing with state board
- BLS certification obtained within 14 days of hire Preferred:
- Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.)
- Five or more years hospital pharmacy experience
- ALS/ACLS certification (required if responding to Code Blue)
