Director of Pharmacy in Warrenton, VA

This opportunity is for an Interim Director of Pharmacy at a 100-bed community hospital in Northern Virginia, located within a reasonable distance from the DC metro area. The hospital manages an average daily census of approximately 20 to 40 patients, providing an engaging environment to oversee pharmacy operations and contribute to quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department, ensuring efficiency and compliance.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and provide leadership to maintain high standards.
• Oversee regulatory compliance and quality assurance in pharmacy practices.
• Participate actively in interdisciplinary meetings and contribute to hospital-wide initiatives.
• Utilize pharmacy IT systems including Meditech and Omnicell to streamline operations and documentation.

Qualifications:

• Current Virginia Pharmacist license is required.
• Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy management experience.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Familiarity with Meditech and Omnicell is essential.

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday, day shifts.
