Director of Pharmacy - Warrenton, Virginia

This opportunity is for an Interim Director of Pharmacy at a 100-bed community hospital in Northern Virginia, conveniently located within commuting distance to the DC metro area. This contract position offers a focused leadership role overseeing the pharmacy department in a setting with an average daily census of 20 to 40 patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide day-to-day operational leadership of the pharmacy department
• Supervise pharmacy staff, ensuring effective team performance
• Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and maintain quality assurance
• Participate actively in hospital meetings and collaborate with other department leaders
• Utilize technology systems including Meditech and Omnicell for pharmacy operations

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

• Valid Virginia Pharmacist license
• Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy management experience
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and hospital pharmacy practices
• Experience with Meditech and Omnicell systems preferred
• Demonstrated leadership and team management abilities

Schedule:

• Monday through Friday
• Day shifts
