An interim leadership opportunity is available for a Pharmacy Director at a 100-bed community hospital in Northern Virginia, located conveniently within commuting distance of the Washington, DC metro area. This role offers a chance to oversee pharmacy operations in a setting averaging 20 to 40 patients daily, providing critical support to the inpatient care team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department ensuring efficiency and compliance.
- Supervise pharmacy staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
- Ensure adherence to all regulatory and compliance standards.
- Participate in and contribute to interdisciplinary meetings and hospital initiatives.
- Utilize IT systems including Meditech and Omnicell for operational management and medication dispensing.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Current Virginia Pharmacist license is required.
- Approximately two years of recent inpatient pharmacy management experience preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with a track record of effective team supervision.
- Proficiency in Meditech and Omnicell systems.
Schedule:
- Monday through Friday, day shifts.
