An opportunity is available for an Interim Director of Pharmacy at a 100-bed community hospital serving Northern Virginia. This critical leadership role involves overseeing daily pharmacy operations in a facility with an average daily census of approximately 20 to 40 patients. Located conveniently near the DC metro area, the position offers a standard Monday through Friday day-shift schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise pharmacy staff to ensure effective and compliant pharmacy services.
• Manage departmental operations including regulatory compliance and quality assurance.
• Participate actively in hospital meetings related to pharmacy services and patient care.
• Collaborate with healthcare teams to support optimal medication management and safety.
• Utilize IT systems such as Meditech and Omnicell to enhance pharmacy workflow and documentation.

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

• Valid Virginia Pharmacist license.
• Approximately two years of recent inpatient pharmacy management experience.
• Proven ability to manage staff and operations in a healthcare setting.
• Familiarity with Meditech electronic health records and Omnicell pharmacy automation systems.
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Location:

• Northern Virginia, close to Washington, DC metro area.

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, day shifts.
