A community hospital in Northern Virginia is seeking an Interim Director of Pharmacy to oversee its 100-bed facility with an average daily census of 20 to 40 patients. This role is ideal for a pharmacist with leadership experience who can manage the daily operations and ensure regulatory compliance in a supportive environment close to the DC metro area.

Location: Northern Virginia, near Washington, DC
Schedule/Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, day shifts

Responsibilities:

  • Manage day-to-day operations of the pharmacy department
  • Supervise pharmacy staff to ensure efficient workflow and patient care
  • Maintain compliance with all regulatory standards and policies
  • Participate in interdisciplinary meetings to support collaborative care
  • Utilize IT systems such as Meditech and Omnicell to optimize pharmacy operations

Qualifications and Desired Experience:

  • Licensed pharmacist in Virginia
  • Approximately 2 years of recent inpatient pharmacy management experience
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Familiarity with Meditech and Omnicell systems
  • Ability to oversee compliance and maintain regulatory standards
