Director of Pharmacy - Washington Navy Yard, DC

Seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy to manage the pharmacy operations at a 100-bed community hospital located near Northern Virginia. This contract role offers a focused opportunity to lead a dynamic pharmacy department serving an average daily census of 20 to 40 patients. Located conveniently near the DC metro area, the position provides Monday through Friday day shifts, ideal for candidates seeking work-life balance.

Responsibilities include overseeing the day-to-day functions of the pharmacy department with direct supervision of pharmacy staff. You will ensure full compliance with all regulatory standards, participate in key meetings, and drive excellence in pharmacy services throughout the hospital. Ideal candidates will hold an active Virginia pharmacist license and bring approximately two years of recent inpatient pharmacy management experience. Familiarity with healthcare IT systems such as Meditech and Omnicell is highly valued to support efficient pharmacy operations.
