Director of Pharmacy - Whittier, California

An established healthcare organization is seeking an experienced Interim Director of Pharmacy to provide leadership and operational oversight of a multi-campus inpatient pharmacy department during a transitional period. This role focuses on delivering effective pharmacy services within an acute care setting across Central California.

Responsibilities include directing day-to-day inpatient pharmacy operations, leading pharmacy personnel across multiple hospital locations, and ensuring full compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards. The interim Director of Pharmacy will oversee departmental budgeting, resource management, and advance key operational and strategic initiatives. Collaboration with executive and clinical leadership is essential to support broader organizational goals and maintain smooth pharmacy operations during this interim period.

Qualifications:

• Proven Director of Pharmacy leadership experience in an acute care/inpatient hospital setting
• In-depth knowledge of hospital pharmacy operations, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards
• Demonstrated ability to lead teams effectively through change and operational projects
• Ability to quickly establish credibility and deliver results in an interim leadership role
• Experience with major hospital EHR and pharmacy systems preferred
