Responsibilities:

  • Manage and supervise pharmacy department operations, including clinical pharmacy services, ensuring compliance with Joint Commission, DOH, and Board of Pharmacy standards.
  • Provide ongoing training, support, and performance feedback to pharmacy staff to promote professional growth, process improvement, and departmental success.
  • Collaborate with supervisors to review and enhance operating procedures, policies, and workflows to improve service quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Participate actively in hospital committees and special projects to align pharmacy services with organizational goals.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of department objectives, budget recommendations, and forecasting of revenues and expenses.
  • Maintain proper systems for documentation, including authorized prescriber signatures and pharmaceutical supply management.
  • Perform duties consistent with those of a Staff Pharmacist as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Current licensure as a pharmacist in the state required.
  • Minimum of three years hospital pharmacy experience within the last five years.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently operate a pharmacy within a healthcare organization.

Preferred Experience:

  • At least one year in a managerial or leadership role within a pharmacy setting.
