Director of Pharmacy | Wyoming, Michigan

Lead pharmacy operations as the Director of Pharmacy and Pharmacist-in-Charge at a behavioral health facility specializing in comprehensive patient care. This contract opportunity offers a dynamic role overseeing pharmacy services in a setting focused on behavioral health, supporting a daily census of approximately 40 patients.

Location:

• Byron Center, Michigan
• Convenient access via Gerald Ford International Airport (GRR)

Schedule:

• Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM on-site
• Saturday remote coverage, 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage order verification and maintain inventory to ensure seamless pharmacy operations
• Provide leadership and direction for pharmacy staff
• Maintain compliance with all regulatory requirements and policies
• Utilize HCS order entry system and Omnicell automation to optimize workflow
• Serve as Pharmacist-in-Charge, ensuring high standards in pharmacy service delivery
• Adapt to a tech-challenged environment without technician support, fostering hands-on management

Qualifications:

• Active Michigan pharmacist license in good standing required
• Previous experience as Director of Pharmacy preferred
• Familiarity with behavioral health pharmacy operations strongly desired
• Experience with HCS order entry systems and Omnicell automation highly beneficial
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently and take initiative in a specialized healthcare setting
